Help our mission

Hungerford Nature Center is a nonprofit organization serving central Connecticut families, schools, and communities since 1984. Centered in beautiful Berlin, CT near the border of New Britain, every membership and donation helps support live animal care, resources, and educational and community programs. With your help we can continue to protect our Connecticut ecosystem, create kid friendly events, and keep nature education open to our children and community.

Wild Encounters

Get up close and personal with one or two of our animal ambassadors in these hands-on mini sessions. Each encounter is different - stop by to see who's visiting!
